​Over the course of three years, I collected sounds from significant medical moments, photographed and illustrated my pain, reused my medical images, scanned medication, and chronicled points of complete despair.  Once completed, Alamort Phosphenes represents the grey space that so many souls feel trapped in with chronic illness. This video utilizes an amalgamation of experimental symbolism to showcase the psychological hurdles rare disease individuals endlessly fight to overcome.

I face the monster of excruciating pain and uncertain longevity on a daily basis as my two rare diseases are diametrically opposed pertaining to pain managment medication. These images are a representation of the process involved with grieving the loss one's body and the internal expedition of turning that anguish into a spark of unburdened freedom; as true freedom is what one inevitably does with what’s been done to them.
